Armand Tetreault
Armand Tetreault the founder of Rhode Island Poppers has been fishing the waters of New England his whole life outside of a stint in the Army. He's fished the surf from Cape Cod through New Jersey and spends most of his time now fishing from his boat for everything from Fluke to Giant Tuna. Armand has been building his own lures for 20 years and started Rhode Island Poppers back in 1999. Like the name suggest the business started with a simple line of Poppers that were specially designed for bluefish with a built in leader and has grown to a robust line of metal lipped swimmers, needlefish, pencil poppers and some very, very, specialized poppers and perhaps the finest pikie swimmers available. The company expanded into fluke lures, striper tubes and a line of offshore lures for tuna and big game. Armand's wife Iris and their children have taken over most of the building operation while Armand has been dedicating himself to more research role because of a disability.
Armand will be doing a seminar entitled "Refurbishing Your Prized Lures". He will cover rewiring, sealing, painting, finishing and terminal tackle. There will be resources giving for finding the needed parts and techniques for re-assembly.

Jim Hutchinson Jr.
Jim Hutchinson joined The Fisherman magazine as Managing Editor of the New Jersey edition in 2002 and was promoted to Executive Editor of the four-way magazine group in 2006 after publisher Pete Barrett retired in 2006. Appointed to the Board of Directors of the Recreational Fishing Alliance (RFA) in 2006, Hutch was hired full-time to be the national political action organization's Managing Director in 2009.
Born and raised at the Jersey Shore, Hutch has spent most of life surfcasting along his home beaches of Long Beach Island - like other local casters he's seen the great improvement in the spring fishery with the reemergence of the annual bunker migration since RFA and others helped pass the "bunker bill" in 2002. "It was the hardcore lobbying efforts of the RFA that really got this menhaden legislation signed into law here in New Jersey back in 2002," said former New Jersey Assemblyman Jack Gibson, then Chairman of the New Jersey Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee.
John Skinner
John Skinner is a long time trophy bass hunter from Long Island. He works as a field editor for Noreast.com.
